By "without the database information". do you mean you don't want to also restore the sql database? If so it's possible, but be aware of the possibilities described here - it's asking the opposite question but what you want to avoid is inconsistency.
The SQL database from 2016 - 2017 is inaccessible. We have a backup of the SQL database from 200X - 2016 which works for all of the associated files in that time frame, but for the remaining raw data (tiff files, etc) 2016 - 2017 there are no SQL entries. Is there any way to restore this data without the SQL entries?
Do you have any recommendations for getting this TIFF data back into LaserFiche to be accessible, with or without the Meta data?
The document structure is also stored in the database. The file types for electronic documents are also stored in the database. You can reimport the images, but reconstituting the individual pages into documents would have to be done by hand.
Depending on the number of images, importing them back can be done through drag and drop into the desktop or web clients or through an automated tool like Import Agent or Quick Fields.
So to summarize a path forward, we can either:
A) Bring every individual TIFF page into LaserFiche and OCR for a text searchable archive.
B) Manually stitch the documents together looking at the individual TIFFs in sequential HEX order, then bring everything in and OCR for text searchable archive.
Would these be the best possible solutions?
Yes. Unless there's a recognizable pattern to these documents that could be used to have Quick Fields combine them into documents for you.
