Question

Uploading file while offline on Laserfiche App

asked on May 25, 2017

Hi, I received a question today concerning Laserfiche App security.

On Laserfiche App, where is a file temporarily stored when uploading while offline?

How is that stored in the phone's memory?

For example, say I take a photo from the App while offline, so it'd get uploaded to the repository once I get internet again. Would I be able to retrieve that photo file somewhere if I navigate on the phone's memory? Would that same file get cleared from the memore once uploaded?

Thanks in advance,

Before upload, the image is stored in phone's memory. It's stored in a temp file location for the app, in the sand box. It's not for users to navigate to view.

After upload, the image document remains in the offline list till user deletes it. Let me know if you have a use case that wants it to be cleared after upload.

Also, you can add passcode to protect your offline document. You can do it in the Setting, accessible from left navigation.
