FEATURE REQUEST: Attachment Field when Saving from LF plugin via outlook

Hi Guys, 

 

Was wondering if this can be looked into? We would like to have the option to have attachment counts calculated when saving an email using the LF Email Plugin? 

 

I can see there is a list of other fields available under Email Property: 

Is there a way we can add an attachment count in this list? or even attachment names?

Hi Ziad,

 

The attachment count or name as metadata are not available in email plugin.  Do you have any user case for the request?

Hi Huazhen, 

 

I have a current client that would like to have this option when saving into Laserfiche using the plugin. This enables the users to have a view within the client to let them know if that email contains any attachments. So they do not have to keep opening emails to check. 

 

It would be a good option to have as it will save clients a lot of time trying to find which email to open if it is saved using the Office Plugin?

Hi Ziad,

Thank you for explaining the scenario! As a workaround, people can save attachment separately and link the attachment with the message. So people can view "document relationships" in client to know if the email contains any attachment.

Hi Ziad,

 

I have filed one software change request to project for that. Will let you know when the target is confirmed.
