Adding SSL certificate after bypassing in installation

asked on May 22, 2017

Are there details on setting up a security certificate for the Directory Server after it has been bypassed through the installation. The reason for this request is that I had uninstalled the Directory Server in hopes that I would be prompted again for the security certificate and I was not. This was after I uninstalled and reinstalled the Directory Server and deleted the website in IIS. Any help is appreciated.

The only setup is configuring IIS to use your certificate for the website that hosts Directory Server by adding an https binding.

We added this convenient tool to the Directory Server installer because Single Sign On requires SSL and we wished to ease administrative burden, but it does not do anything outside of setup in IIS.

This is covered in Microsoft's documentation and requires no Laserfiche-specific action aside from ensuring you set the bindings on the correct website (typically, Default Website; wherever you see LFDS and LFDSSTS when expanded).

So, the server with LFDS also has web access on it so i have a way to test IIS. With the new FQDN i can access web access now with https://fqdn/laserfiche just fine. however, when i use https://fqdn/LFDS i get a windows login prompt popup which doesn't seem to accept any credentials. I'm assuming my IIS is correct since it's the same website in IIS and /laserfiche works fine. What might i be missing here?

I have the same question except I didn't uninstall and reinstall it. I submitted a support request and support refused to help me saying I had to post it on answers. Hopefully someone at Laserfiche can help.

EDIT: I do know that you do the typical setup of IIS for an SSL certificate. That part is fairly self explanatory. Cristobal, I can assist you with that if you need. My question was beyond IIS, where else do we need to change settings and URLs in LFDS to reflect the correct new FQDN?
