Question on Fill Out PDF Form Activity

asked on May 19, 2017 Show version history

Good afternoon,

I'm in the process of working with an existing Fill Out PDF Form Activity, which will be filled out by a Laserfiche form. Every time I submit the form, it Suspends and I get the error below in the error log.

I then tired with a new Fill Out PDF Form Activity and disable the existing one. Then to this new Activity I just added a new PDF, created by me, with a single field. I assigned it value of %(Date) just to keep it simple. After submitting the form it still Suspends with the same error below.

We looked into the E:\ path and the tree just goes as far as the \288\ folder. Can anyone shed some light on whether we need to have the complete path and file or if this can be directed/found anywhere else?

E:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\WF\ServerData\288\cd3d5b70-7720-42b0-a744-c3e99ef2608e\FillOutPDFForm2\FillOutPDFForm2_PDFEntry.wfv

Hi Raul

It may be that you don't have the File Browsing Option set correctly (Workflow Administration Console)

I find that adding the PDF the the Workflow External Objects in Workflow Administration Console is a more reliable way to do this, so when you add the Fill Out PDF Form Activity you can just pick the form from the drop down list.

We adjusted the form according to your suggestions, but still got the same error.

I see that this issue was posted by one of us in the past: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/82661/Fill-out-PDF-form-Could-not-find-a-part-of-the-path

We'll have to find out if this was ever resolved first. Thanks. Will keep you posted of any findings.

What version of Workflow are you using?

If I go into the Workflow Designer and check About Workflow Designer or Workflow Administration Console, it reads "Version 10.0.0.249".
