Question

Audit trail and https

asked on May 18, 2017

Hi,

I have a customer who currently has Web Access working with a domain name. They've installed the wildcard SSL cert, and it's working with Web Access. The Audit Trail site is installed under the default web site, just as Web Access. When I try to go to the audit trail site through https it prompts for credentials, and no matter what I enter it won't accept them to take me to the audit trail. Localhost and IP without https prompts for credentials as well, but they're accepted and work as expected. I'm just wondering if the audit trail doesn't allow access through https for some reason by design, or is this an IIS config issue?

Thanks,

Brian

I'm not aware of any issues related to using SSL with Audit Trail, and I was just able to get it to work correctly in a test environment with Internet Explorer.  One difference between Web Access and Audit Trail is that Audit Trail always requires Windows authentication, though that can work over HTTPS.  What browser are you using?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for responding. I'm using the latest version of Chrome.

Thanks,

I'm not sure what you're running into.  This works for me with Chrome and Audit Trail 10.2 out of the box.
