We had a situation where the forms system user, configured for saving forms to the repository, was unable to authenticate. What we found is that if the credentials do not work one time, for whatever reason, the system automatically removes the configured user and password from all save to repository tasks. I can guarantee it was not a human, since the Done button can not be clicked if you manually wipe out this information. Why does it do this?

Forms removes configured username and password from Save to Repository when failing to authenticate
Hi Chad,
It sounds like a bug but I could not reproduce it. I tried creating a repository profile, then edit the user password in repository so profile became invalid: there was invalid alert on the save to repository service task but the username and pasword were still kept.
Can you give more description on how you reproduce the issue?
Is there any other situations where the username and password are removed from the profile? The customer found that none of their forms were saving to the repository, when I looked at the process modeler, the username and password was stripped from the profile. They have access to the modeler, but it is impossible to strip the username and password and save the process even if by accident.
The username and password are removed when the process is uploaded. Is there a chance that the customer uploaded the process without updating repository profile?
