Cannot restore items from recycle bin

Good morning,

I am trying to restore items from the recycle bin and I'm getting the following error message:

 

I'm logged into Laserfiche with our admin account, so in theory I should have permissions to do this. Here are the files I'm trying to restore. They are listed as Pages.

Hi Tiffany,

 

Could it be that the document that you are trying to restore the pages to has been deleted?

Hi Chris,

The parent folder that these documents were in still exists in Laserfiche. It has not been moved, renamed or modified.

Looking at your screenshot of the recycle bin. These are pages you are trying to restore. Not documents. My guess would be the the documents these pages were deleted from have been deleted. If you delete a new document and restore this straight away. Does that work?

Yes, there was a pdf document that was in the same folder. I am able to restore that file without getting the error messages. It is just the files listed as pages that are giving me the problem.

Ah ok. Yes so I would guess that the document where those pages originated has been deleted?

Where would the document be located? It's not listed in the original folder or the recycle bin. I thought it would be listed in the recycle bin with the pages if it had been deleted.

What version of Laserfiche are you using?

 

In V10 I get the error telling me the document is in the recycle bin if I try to restore the pages.

Deleting the document from the recycle bin also deletes the pages.

Try upgrading LF to the latest version and try again.
