Web Access search brings up shortcuts even when shortcuts option is unchecked

asked on May 14, 2017 Show version history

We are performing the following search in Web Access 10.2.0.150:

{LF:Name="*", Type="F"} & {[]:[First Name] = ""} & {[]:[Last Name] = ""}

This brings up both folders and their shortcuts. In fact, checking the "shortcuts" option seems to have no effect.

The Desktop Client excludes shortcuts, so I assume this is a bug. I looked at the KBs for 10.2.1 and did not see it listed as a known issue or a bug fix.

I'd go check the Resolve Shortcuts option in the Options page (on the Search tab), and uncheck it if necessary.

We recently noticed that if the corresponding attribute ([Search]IncludeShortcuts) is not present on the user, the Windows client will default it to false, whereas the web client will default it to true, and we expect to fix this in an upcoming release.
