Question

Workflow - Failed Instance Completions - How can they be removed, deleted, or resolved?

asked on May 11, 2017

Greetings everyone,

In Workflow Administration Console -> Advanced Diagnostics -> Failed Instance Completions I noticed I have three which are quite old. All of them are irrelevant to me as they were done when the workflow itself was being tested. One does not even have a Workflow Name and is over 2 years old.

These retry every 9 hours. How can I prevent this or delete these instances?

Cheers and Thanks,

Carl

I would like to add to this as I am trying to figure out how to remove a Failed Instance Completion object that a customer has.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

The Failed Instance Completions node is just displaying the contents of the instance_completion table from Workflow's SQL database.

How to stop them from retrying?

Hi Miruna,

Do they actually continue to retry as stated in Workflow Admin Console? How do we clear them out so they do not continue to retry? Our customer has an older Workflow displaying multiple times and there are no in progress instances for it.

We need an answer to this as well.  One of our customers has about 300 failed instances that show an initial run date back in 2016 and they keep retrying. We cannot seem to find a way to clear them out.

Has there ever been a resolution to this? We are seeing this on a couple of our workflow servers and would like to get them cleared out.

Thanks - Jim
