Quick Fields storing documents settings questions

asked on May 10, 2017

I have noticed that there are 2 places for options on storing documents with one of my client's setups.

1. First is in the actual session options;

2. The other is in QF agent;

I'm having trouble figuring out which one takes priority because one of the sessions was setup in options of the session to send documents "Manually", but agent was set to "Process and store" documents which cause that session to not send the documents. I just logged in and found a ton of documents sitting in the Document Revision. If I change the session to "Immediately" then I lose the option to run the session myself and review the documents.

What would be the best settings for both the session and QF agent to make sure everything is working properly? Thanks.

"Process and store" will scan, then at the end of processing all documents will send everything to Laserfiche. It is the equivalent of a user pressing Scan, waiting for all documents to be processed and then pressing Store. If the session is set to send immediately, every document is sent right after being processed. So, when the session runs through Quick Fields Agent, the end result is the same for "process and store" regardless of the manual/immediate options in the session. However, sending immediately can be slightly slower in terms of processing since part of the resources are used for sending the processed document to Laserfiche while processing the next one.

That's exactly the way I understood it also. What interesting is that I had the session on manual and the QF agent set to scan and store, but when I opened the session this morning, there were a ton of documents just sitting there. I'm not sure why.
