Forms - blank value variables become ", " when saved to field values

Variables show blank values in the monitor history, but when selected to populate a field in save to repository they become ", ". That is a comma character followed by a space character. So instead of a blank value in the field they end up with ,

I couldn't explain this one.

For the variable you refer to, is it a variable inside collection/table that have multiple sets/rows? Or it is an Address variable? For variable inside collection/table, if the field in the repository doesn't allow multiple values and there are multiple sets/rows for the collection/table, then the blank value for each sets/rows will be separated by ";"; for Address variable, the values for the sub items will be separate by ",".

Ah ok, he was using an address field for these variables. That explains it!

Hi Chad,

Can you clarify what you mean/are looking at when you refer to the monitor history?

My two initial thoughts on this are:

Are these variable values associated with blank single-line fields? If so, do these fields have default values that might be inserting the ', '?
Is the 'Save to Repo' task using a form from another step? Make sure it's set to save the form with current process data (more details here).
