Question

'Default Value' option for Radio Buttons (and Checkboxes)??

asked on May 4, 2017

I created FORM-A that a user fills out and submits. FORM-A is created mostly with "Single Line", but it also has a Radio Button with 4 options: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer.

I created FORM-B from FORM-A. Based on the user's selections in FORM-A, I am able to transfer MOST those selections to FORM-B by entering a "Default Value" (ie,  {/dataset/Software_Name} at the bottom of the Single Line entities.

How do I transfer the season the user selected from the Radio Button in FORM-A to FORM-B??

Hope I'm doing the right... this is my first post here, and I'm a newbie to Laserfiche Forms and Processes.

Many thanks!

If you click on the variables button (located at the top left, above the fields), you can drag your existing variables into place.

They will populate with info from forms earlier in the business process.  This will work on your single line and radio button fields.  It will also eliminate the need to use default values.

Here's a small sample of a variable list.  Note that if it is grayed out, that variable is already in use on the current form.  You can click on the gear to rename the variable, or delete it entirely.
