Question

Read-only vs. Editable Forms

asked on May 4, 2017

When a form is designed to be read-only and added to a business process, can the same form contents be edited in a later step in the business process?

Thanks,

Benjamin

Hi Ben,

If the two form layouts are exactly the same and one is just read only, then you can use a setting in the User Task properties to take care of this instead of creating two forms. In your case, it sounds like you'd make the form read-only for the users who are doing the review first, then simply leave it unchecked when you assign the same form in the next user task.

As Rene mentioned, it is also possible to use all the different variables to rearrange your form contents and mark them as read-only in one form, so you have plenty of options.

Yes but you need to copy the saem form and use the copied form that have not the read-only assign to it.

you can also redesing the forms completely and use the values in the field of the forms the way you want to layout them.

So yes it is possible. you can assign a different forms in amost each business process activities.
