Hi Iqbal,

It looks as if a document inside the folder you're trying to delete is locked (probably because it has been checked out). If you are an admin, you should be able to open the Administration Console and under Activity check both the "Checked Out Documents" and "Entry Locks" nodes.

If an entry in the folder you're trying to delete is listed in either, you'll need to get the user to check the document back in or undo the checkout/entry lock in the admin console. (Right click, undo check out)

Cheers, Dan

Do you know what rights are needed for a user to do this from the client? Is it the Manage Entry Access Rights?

Hi Chris,

As far as I'm aware it's not possible to unlock a document from within the repository.

If the document is checked out however the user who checked the document out will be able to right click > check in / check out > undo checkout. Users with the manage entry access privilege will also be able to do this.

The only other way to undo a checkout (or unlock an entry) is through the admin console as described above. Users will need the manage entry access privilege to do this.

Hope this helps!

Dan

Thanks for this. I was looking for which rights allow users to check in/ out documents. Looks like the manage entry access privilege is what I was looking for.
