Question

3rd party logins

asked on April 25, 2017

Is there anything special I need to do to allow 3rd party capture applications to be able to drop files directly into Laserfiche? I wanted to make sure there wasn't a setting that I needed to change to allow 3rd party applications access to the Laserfice system.

Thanks.

What scanning application are you wanting to use?  Usually, generic 3rd party applications do not have a direct integration into Laserfiche and need to use something like Quick Fields or Import Agent as an importing process.

Psygen and Artsyl both have direct to Laserfiche options. They also have "Laserfiche output" settings that dump files into folders with xml/csv files so you can populate template fields with that data via Workflow.

Both require a login and both seem to want to dump data into a folder within laserfiche. I assume they connect somewhat like the LF desktop client would? I am getting similar errors on both so im curious if there is some type of "restrict 3rd party applications" or something of the sort.

There are no settings to block SDK applications from logging into the repository.

What errors are you seeing when you try to log in through the integrations?

That error suggests that the integration was written with LFSO version 8.0 and that library is not registered on your machine - probably because you don't have it installed.  Any integration should install all of its dependencies, and there is a redistributable Laserfiche SDK installer they should have included for that.  You should contact them to see what they recommend.
