Question

Can we Delete or Move Quick Fields Data

asked on April 24, 2017

Hello,

We have a server where the C: Drive has almost reached capacity. I have noticed that there is a folder in the following location:

C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files\d546423f-5ad7-4ae3-9187-24cee5b2b32e\4

It currently has 10 GB's of data. Are these log files that Quick Fields is writing or are these files necessary to ensure Quick Fields keeps running? I just wanted to know in case I could move this or delete the information to make room on our C: Drive.

Thanks!

They're session files. They're normally deleted when the processed documents are sent to Laserfiche. If you have Quick Fields Agent, you might want to check the log files and see if there are any documents stuck in the sessions because of missing invalid fields and such.

Miruna,

It looks like those may have not been deleting because the location in the LF Repository that the quick fields session is suppose to run does not exist so Quick Fields Agent I think just keeps writing those session files. Since this is an invalid session, can we delete the location listed below?

C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files\d546423f-5ad7-4ae3-9187-24cee5b2b32e

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by "the location in the LF Repository that the quick fields session is suppose to run does not exist". If the session uses Capture Engine and the source folder doesn't exist, then it wouldn't retrieve any documents, so there would be nothing on disk. If it's about the destination for sending documents, then you have documents stuck outside of LF.

But as long as you're sure you don't need the images in that folder, you can delete it.
