Is this resolved in 10.3? I don't see the SCR 156505 listed anywhere on the support site? I've got a customer seeing this error when importing a document into LF using the office plug in using LF 10.2.1.
Cheers!
Yes, the initial bug was addressed in 10.2.1. Looks like it didn't get flagged as coming in externally so it wasn't included in the change-list. Note that the bug was ONLY about an issue in web client management. Just because this is the same error, if it's coming in import through the office plug-in, that sounds like a different issue. We have something in our bug list that sounds similar - does this involve dynamic fields and default values? Thanks!
Hey Justin,
Thanks for coming back so quickly.
It does indeed involve dynamic fields and default values on the template.
Cheers!
Sounds like it's the one on our list then. We're right up to the deadline for 10.3.1 so I'm not able to say yet if we can address this in that timeframe - it depends on how involved it is and the regression risk. We'll take a look though.
Thanks Justin, to get around this then for now, I'm assuming we would need to not use dynamic fields and default field values? Cheers!
Can't say for sure unless we investigate more, but those were the criteria listed in the bug description, so I'd give that a try. Incidentally, the new bug ID is 77142. (Yes, that's smaller, new bug system, they aren't SCRs anymore )
Thanks Justin, the user is just dragging and dropping the documents in for now to get around this.
Hi Justin, When new bug ID 77142 will be fixed for this case? Could suggest for estimate time frame that we can find the way to work around with customer on this.
Hi Justin,
Please can I echo this request, as I also don't see 10.3.1 on the roadmap at all.
Cheers!
Yeah... That page is a little out-of-date. 10.3.1 should be available now for active support cases and will be generally available and officially announced near the end of the week. It includes the fix to bug 77142: https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013949/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-10-3-1.
Awesome, thanks Justin!
Hi Ege,
We're aware of the issue. It should be fixed in Web Client 10.2.1 release. The SCR number is 156505 for your reference.
