Question

Default properties not holding when scanning

asked on April 13, 2017

Hello,

I have a very basic LF Avante 10.2 setup with only one template (for now), and 4 index fields.

I set up the file naming and folder path to use those values to name and store the file; that works properly.

The issue is that once scanning is closed, the file naming and folder path don't get saved.

Options are set as:

Is there any way to have LF Scanning hold the file name and storage path values with the tokens and fixed values I have inserted?  I can find no "save" function anywhere.

The customer will be moving to Quick Fields, but most likely not for at least another 6 months or so.

Thanks!

If you need to file and/or name based on field values, you can scan into an "Incoming" folder and have workflow trigger on entry created and restrict it to documents with path = your incoming folder path and the needed data fields not empty.

Create the workflow to move the document and rename it using the values from the template.

The default path in Laserfiche Scanning depends on the path you were at in the client application when it was launched.

As for the document name, see below

Thanks for the replies.

I have created the "_Incoming" folder, and set up a Workflow, as suggested.

Workflow is naming the file based on the field values, and creating the appropriate folders, also based on the field values.
