I noted in my CPP courses that Laserfiche recommends implementation of WINDOWS SECURITY on the SEARCH CATALOG.  Although they do not contain comprehensive sentences they do contain a list of words in your repository which may include sensitive information such as names and social security names. 

As far as I can see my search catalog is located within the LF_ENGDATA\SEARCH path. Once there I noticed numerous .sdw files and .idx files. I would like to know that what these files represent and does the Search Catalog consists of them both. Just need to identify which ones we need to protect and back up.
