My client is running into an issue where they try to open scanning in chrome, and it asks them to install LFScanning everytime. This issue only started happening yesterday, and no changes were made that they are aware of. We uninstalled the web access extension, and LFScanning from the computer and reinstalled it but it did not fix the issue. We also ran Chrome as an admin and that didn't make any difference. Also, nothing really shows up in the web console. They are on LFScanning 9.1.1.482, Chrome 57.0.2987.133, and WA Extension 1.4.

Please make sure the Web Access Plugin Detector has been installed by the web browser and is allowed to run.

Hi Raymond,
This was an issue we were having with 9.1. We have since upgraded to 10.2, is there any need to have a plug in detector installed for 10.2?
Thank you,
Stephanie Lodge
Is Scanning working normally with Web Access? Is the prompt to install scanning occurring even though it is already installed?
Since upgrading to Web Client 10.2 using Laserfiche Scanning 10.2 we have not had any support calls about this error and it does not prompt me to install while scanning in Chrome on my machine.
In the past, we instructed users to only access Laserfiche Web Access from Internet Explorer as this fix was never known to us.
If this is something that was fixed in the new version, we will be thrilled to tell our users that the system is no longer browser dependant!
It does still install the Plugin. But it should only prompt you for it once.
Perfect, thank you.
Ok, we actually did have that installed. We removed it, and reinstalled it yesterday with no difference. Also, the popup comes up in all the user's browsers(IE, Edge, Firefox, and Chrome)
Please open a case so we can explore the issue further
We there a resolution to this, as we have a customer who is experiencing the same issue.
A case was not opened for the other customer. Please open a case so we can explore the issue further.
Jeff, in this instance their boss made them use the desktop client instead since the LFScanning application was working then so we never did find an official fix.
