Question

PDF's are previewing using Adobe Acrobat rather than Laserfiche Document Viewer

asked on March 31, 2017 Show version history

See attached video. user single clicks on a PDF and then they have to click in the gray area to initialize adobe seemingly built in to the preview pane. How do I set this back to the default?  I have already double checked that the viewer tool settings are set to LF Document Viewer even for PDFs.

Note: Naturally, I am not have this issue with TIF image files.

After Some more testing, I am able to have the same adobe reader preview pane as my customer. However, the issue remains, as shown in the video, as to why she has to click on the box to preview the document? My cloud client still pops up automatically.

I can't tell what is going on based on the video, too low-res.  But based on your question, it sounds like it has to do with PDF documents opening via the Laserfiche Document Viewer vs. Adobe Reader/Acrobat.  You should be able to impact those settings in the Desktop Client.

This screenshot is set to open PDF files within the Desktop Client, but I could just as easily set it up to open in Adobe Reader/Acrobat instead by selecting "The Associated Application".
