Updating/deleting entry using workflow

Hello everyone,

I am new to workflows and I am trying to make a workflow to copy my file from folder A to master folder (to hold all the records together) and if there are any changes in entry or if the entry is deleted in folder A, the copy of entry in master folder gets updated/deleted too.

What would be the easiest way to accomplish this?

Hi Muhammed,

It sounds like it might be easier for you to have a workflow move the original document into your master folder and provide a shortcut in Folder A instead. That way, any changes made by users in Folder A will be reflected on the original copy in the master folder.

If we don't want to use shortcut, is there some other way around to accomplish this?

Is there a particular reason you don't want to use shortcuts? Having a workflow that constantly monitors your documents for any changes and replicates them will be challenging.

We have two templates, one for incoming files in folder A and the second one for master folder files which is different than the template used for files in folder A and if I use shortcut, it is just showing up the same templates in files of both folders.
