Question

The Laserfiche Directory Server address does not match the value specified in the license:

asked on March 29, 2017 Show version history

I'm attempting to get our upgraded version of RIO 10.2 completely functional.  When i attempt to set the URL for the LFDSSTS url within the Federated Search administration, I receive this message:

The Laserfiche Directory Server address does not match the value specified in the license: FQDN of server

We are using a GoDaddy SSL cert

This also happens when I try and set the LFDSSTS url within the Directory Server configuration.

This is probably unrelated to your SSL certificate. The error says that the name of your LFDS machine in your Federated Search license does not match what you have entered in the configuration page.

Can you see how these two values differ? Try entering the LFDS server name in the configuration page exactly as shown in the license file.

If you're having issues finding the name in the license, there are a couple ways you can make it easier to read. It's XML format, so you can use a "pretty print" option for XML. Another option is to make a copy of your Federated Search license, change the extension from .licx to .xml, and open it with IE to get it to display in a more human-readable format.

If that doesn't work, you may wish to open a support case.

Note also that the URL on the LFDSSTS configuration page is completely unrelated. See this previous discussion on the topic for more information.
