Laserfiche 10.2 Scanning issue

asked on March 28, 2017 Show version history

Client has been complaining that the Scan button in the Scan application doesn't work when she goes to scan. It'll work for a bit, and then stops working.

I updated her from 10.1 to 10.2 thinking it may have just been a bug.

She tried scanning and it worked for awhile, but then stopped working.

Scanner: Canon DR-M140

Has current TWAIN driver installed

Has Kofax VRS 5.1 installed (from Canon site) and using Kofax as the Scan Source.

Any clue as to why it doesn't scan when she hits the scan button?

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

When the scanner button is grayed out, test the scanner outside of LF using Kofax VRS. Does it work then independent of LF?

I also tested with TWAIN and it worked, then did the same thing where after you press Scan, it doesn't do anything.

I tested out the DR-M140 CaptureOnTouch and the scanner worked fine.

If you are using Kofax with LF scanning, you need to use the Kofax VRS test.  Does it work for Kofax outside of LF?

They don't have the full VRS on the computer to run test scans with, just the VRS scan source for Laserfiche.

Used the VRS Test console and it scans fine, but hard to say since it's a hit or miss when she scans with the Laserfiche Scan Application.

Open a case with support when the issue occurs. We'll go from there.
