Question

Metadata Date Fields

asked on March 28, 2017

Good morning,

We have an LF form that uses a Workflow to do some processes and then adds a document to the Repository and sets some Metadata (Field Data) for that document.

Something strange; when the form information is uploaded it sets two dates for that Metadata. One is for Effective Date and the other for Expiration Date. These values are supposed be be grabbed from two date fields.

When the form is uploaded, the metadata shows both dates with1 day before the date it was set. For example is I uploaded something and set Effective Date to 3/15/2017 and Expiration Date to 3/21/2017; in the Metadata Fields, it shows as Effective Date 3/14/2017 and Expiration Date to 3/20/2017.

Within the form itself, the dates are correct, it's just the Metadata fields.

I took a look at the Workflow to see if I could find something that was programmatically setting this, but didn't see anything obvious. I was wondering if anyone has ran into something like this.

I checked the server clock and it's correct.

Thanks

Hi Raul,

It would be worth checking the timezone setting in the Form's Publishing Options settings, as that's a common cause of this issue.

Cheers,

Mike

Might be worth checking of course, but wouldn't that only affect the time and not the date?

It depends on the timezone as you're going to have an impact to the date at some stage if the timezone is wrong.

That was it Mike. Thanks. A coworker was able to adjust that on the admin settings and confirmed that the issue is now resolved.

Thanks again.
