asked on March 20, 2017

When creating a new repository, I run into a error that states that ODBC driver 11 for SQL server is not installed , but it is installed. I am trying to create a repository on Laserfiche 10.2.

UPDATE: My colleague suggested that I simply type or copy/paste the ServerName\DatabaseName into the "Server" field. This solved the problem!

I believe that error message you're seeing states that either the driver isn't installed or the database credentials may not be correct.

If you check the Windows Event Viewer on the Laserfiche Server, under Applications and Services Logs > Laserfiche > ContentRepository > Service > Admin, are there any further details about the error?

What credentials were being used to connect to the SQL Server instance?

Hi Alexander,

I'm running into the same issue described by Freddie--the ODBC driver 11 for SQL Server is installed, but I am unable to create a repository.

I checked the Event Viewer as you suggested but didn't see many details--just the Level of "Warning" for each event, a Date and Time, a Source, and an Event ID of 105 (Network Load Balancing (NLB) Denial-of-service Protection) for each event.

I'm attempting to use Windows Authentication to create the repository. This works fine for SSMS. I also ensured that my login options for the Laserfiche Server, Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search Engine, and Laserfiche Audit Trail Reporting services matched my Windows credentials. I tried changing the login for the SQL Server (Laserfiche) service to me Windows login, but this didn't work, so I switched it back to login as the Network Service user.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Rob
