Can't setup a Fi-7180 scanner

asked on March 16, 2017 Show version history

I installed a new scanner a Fi-7180 to be used with Laserfiche  9.2.1.562 and I can have it working.

I installed the TWAIN driver and also the ISIS from Fujitsu website without any positive result. I can use the scanner with other software's but not Laserfiche.

It looks like Laserfiche is not seeing the scanner.

This is my Laserfiche Scanning version.

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Inside of LF Scanning, what scan engine are you using?  If you select Twain, then does it let you select the PaperStream scanner from the list of installed scanners?

Hi Bert,

Can you tell me where I can see which engine I am using? I am a newbie in Laserfiche setup.

Regarding the selection, I click on the TWAIN Scan source

and Laserfiche freeze for a minute and I am receiving this message.

Not sure if the scanning assembly will help you.

Has your company purchased LF ScanConnect?  If so, download and install it on the scan station.  Then set the scan source to ScanConnect and select the PaperStream scanner from the list of devices.

If you do not have LF ScanConnect, I would start by setting up Universal Capture as the source.  Once configured, exit scanning.  Wait 10 to 20 seconds and then open scanning back up.  Then go to the File menu and choose scan source.  Change it to Twain and see if it resolves the issue.

We didn't bought the ScanConnect

I am receiving this when I click on Universal Capture.

That is correct.  Then in both the "Look for images in" and "Move Processed images to" fields put C:\Temp (or a path to another folder) and then OK to save the configuration.  Then close scanning.

Then I would say it is time to uninstall and reinstall the LF Client and LF Scanning.
