Can you edit Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents on a mobile device with Laserfiche Mobile App 10.2?

Answer
I can't comment on MS Word in particular as I don't have it installed, but I was able to download, edit, and re-upload a Word document using the Google Docs app. It might be an application- or device-specific setting.
Edit: Upon further consideration, this might be a security setting akin to downloading a .doc file from a network location on a desktop machine, where "Edit Content" has to be enabled before it exits read-only mode.
Update: I was able to use Word mobile app to open the file; like you, it opened in read-only mode. If I saved a local copy first, I could edit and re-upload. The security setting might have been a factor but in our case it may have to do with device screen size; I don't have a tablet to test that idea myself.
Also note that version control needs to be set for the document in order to save over it. This needs to be done beforehand, outside of the mobile app.

I did read this thread:

But it's 3 years old so I thought I would ask the question again for version 10.2
When opening an electronic document with no associated image or text pages, the electronic file will open in a default application if configured, or you'd be prompted for an app with which to open the file. However note that there is no Office Plugin for mobile devices, so in order to commit changes, you would essentially have to save the edited file locally and upload the new file.
Hi James,
I tried what you suggested with a word document. I was able to open it using the Android app and it opened on my Galaxy S6 in MS Word. However the document was read-only and so I could not edit it. Is that a limitation of Laserfiche Mobile or is it a setting on my device? Can you verify with a device on your end?
