Using HTML Buttons to Approve or Reject email approval

Is it possibly to create HTML buttons inside of the approval email and tie those to the appropriate response? Or is that functionality built into Forms and I'm just missing it?

This is not supported. The email approval the Forms currently support is by relying an email to an email approval server and Forms will process those replied email to approve the task. It is not possible to run JavaScript code through email to archive it as the email client will not support executable code.
