Question

Proxy/Services Configurations Using Single Sign On

asked on March 15, 2017

Looking for some guidance with setting up a single sign on using a proxy. Currently we are looking to use SSO with both Forms and Web Access so the solution looks something like this.

The questions are:

  1. Should a proxy be setup for the SSO page?
  2. If so should we be using the external address in our service configurations under the Web Client and Forms Configurations?
  3. Are there any other considerations we should be making?

For Web Access:

  1. The user will need to get to the SSO page, so it should be proxied
  2. The host name you use needs to be resolvable both externally (so that users can get to it) and internally (so that Web Access can call into it).  Of course they can resolve to different IP addresses.
