Question

Web access view auto refersh and Selecting Multiple rows

asked on March 1, 2017

In desktop client as documents are added the view refreshes on it's own and new documents are displayed. Also in client, multiple documents can be selected at a time and number of documents selected are shown at bottom as shown in screenshot.

Is it possible to have these 2 functionalities in web access? We are on 9.2.

Hi Apurva,

Both of these features are supported in the latest version of Web Client (formerly named Web Access). If you upgrade to Web Client 10.2, you can enable auto-refresh of the folder browser contents pane by setting the user attribute [WebAccess]AutoRefresh to 'True'.

The number of selected entries, along with the total number of entries, is displayed by default for Web Access version 10.0 and higher.

Where would I find the auto-refresh for browser panes attribute. We have version 10.2 and I am not finding the statement you listed. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Reviving this old thread to provide an answer (Currently working on version 11.0.23...)

Note: I haven't found a way to apply attributes to specific groups but these can be applied to individual users and the everyone group.

This attribute can be applied by:

  1. Logging into the LF Admin Console
  2. Locate the desired user or everyone group
  3. In the user's properties under the Attributes tab
    1. Hit Add
      1. Name: “[WebAccess]AutoRefresh”
      2. Data: “Yes”
  4. Apply changes
