If you are using Laserfiche Discussions with a form, can all users that are part of the process get notified when there is activity on the discussion?

An example would be a performance review form and discussion. If you have a user in the 3rd or 4th stage that makes a comment in the discussion, will the 1st and 2nd users get a notification? 

Also would it the discussion be specific to the instance ID of the form? We would not want all participants to see all the discussions for all performance reviews.
