Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in Quick Fields agent

asked on February 22, 2017

I was advised by LF support to update QF agent to the latest patch. Once I upgraded I am getting this error:

<Errors>
<Error Time="02/22/2017 19:55:45" Type="NullReferenceException" Message="Object reference not set to an instance of an object.">
  <HelpLink />
  <Trace>   at Laserfiche.QuickFields.Runtime.QFSessionManager.UpdateRecentSessionList()
   at Laserfiche.QuickFields.Runtime.QFSessionManager.UpdateSessionInfo(ISession session, SaveSessionOptions options)
   at Laserfiche.QuickFields.QFSessionFactory.OnAfterSaveSession(ISession session, SaveSessionOptions options)
   at Laserfiche.BatchProcessor.Runtime.SessionFactory.SaveSession(ISession session, String filePath, SaveSessionOptions options)
   at Laserfiche.BatchProcessor.BPManager.SaveSession(ISession session, String filePath, SaveSessionOptions options, Boolean isRemotePublish)

   at Laserfiche.QuickFields.QFApplicationUnattended.StartProcessing()
   at Laserfiche.QuickFields.QFApplicationUnattended.OnRun()</Trace>
</Error>

</Errors>

I saw that in previous cases such as this, there was a hotfix. Is this what needs to happen?

Also, the job terminates with the error but nothing gets hung up and files processed are being stored in their repo.

Please advise.

When did you download the upgrade? Quick Fields 10.1, which is now available for download, should include a fix for this issue smiley

I see. Please open a support case so we can look into it further.
