Question

Web Access redirect to LFDS page

asked on February 20, 2017 Show version history

I am unsure of the timing of this, but I believe it became an issue after moving to LFDS from License Manager.  When trying to get to the Web Access server you are met with the login prompt.  After logging in you are taken to LFDS.  The link being used is https://FQDN/laserfiche.  I can get to Audit Trail and obviously LFDS just fine.

The server in question is running LFDS, Web Access, Audit Trail website, DCC and Quickfields Agent.  The repository and Work Flow servers are separate.  Everything is at 10.2 or it's highest available version.

Any ideas?

I'm still not sure if you are intending to use LFDS for Web Access authentication or if you did not set that up and you are being directed to LFDS anyway.  In the first case it could be a problem with your WA settings that you might resolve by editing the WebAccessConfig.xml file, or in the worst case renaming it and reconfiguring from scratch.  If it's the latter you'd have to investigate where the redirect is coming from (IIS or possibly a proxy).

It's possible to configure Web Access so that it uses LFDS to provide authentication, in which case redirecting to LFDS is expected.  Is that what you are trying to do?  You can check your settings at /laserfiche/configuration/configuration.aspx.

In trying to access that page I am redirected after login to the LFDS Overview page.  Anything /Laserfiche or /laserfiche8 goes to LFDS after login.

I am trying to access my repositories from a browser.  I am just taken to the LFDS overview screen when trying to get to them.

Thank you for the reply.  Any other ideas?

Sorry I had been meaning to get a message back to you all day but have been swamped.  You led me to the right place.  The WebAccessConfig.xml file was indeed corrupt.  I rebuilt it and all is well again.

Thank you so much.

Good day,

I am experiencing the same thing with a DMZ setup, but for Forms.

I have configured the config files multiple times, but cannot seem to find the source of the issue.

Please let me know if you are able to assist or advise?

Not sure how much help I can be.  When I installed forms I had issues when it was on the same server as Web Access.  But it was more of a login loop where it would blink between pages, so I put it on a separate VM and it has been no trouble since.
