Question

Forms Task Notifications

asked on February 19, 2017

Hi All,

Is there a way to notify the users on number of tasks pending for the user approvals other than login into the form dashboards to view?

Thanks.

Forms 10.2 added the aggregated notification feature that allow you to schedule time to send the notification for all the users for their assigned tasks and available tasks.

Hi Xiuhong,

thank you for your reply.

1. Can you share with me where to configure this?

Another questions:

Eg: Jason submit a expenses claim request which required 2 level of approval. Is there a place where Jason can check currently the request is pending at which approver?

1. You can go to Forms Configuration->Email Templates tab, then navigate to Aggregated Notification to enable it:

2. If Jason fill the form after sign in Forms, then he can check the history of the instance from Inbox->My Process Status->Started by me. If Jason submit the form without authentication, then he is not able to view the history.

Have you configured the Email Notification Server from Email Settings tab of Forms Configuration? If you did, please check what the "Default process time zone" in Forms Server, the aggregated notification is based on that time zone to send the notification. If all the settings are correct, please check what error logged in Event Viewer->Application and Services Logs->LFForms at the scheduled time.

Hi Xiuhong,

you are right. My Default process time zone is another zone.

Thank you so much.

Jason
