How to replicate users client column layout with all users?

I tried exporting column layout profile attribute to everryone group but it didnt seem to work. Anyone have any ideas how this can be done?

Try also setting [Settings]UniqueFolderColumns to Yes for the Everyone group, to make it default to remembering individual folder columns:

Is there a way to have custom columns for specific groups for example a specific "records management" custom set of columns for the records manager group - without having to use the Everyone group. It doesnt appear that you can set specific columns for repository or Windows groups.

You would need to set the attribute on each individual user in the group. Trustee attributes are not supported on groups because of the performance impact and also because there isn't a clear way to specify the inheritance order when the user is a member of multiple groups.
