Can't figure out why table fields are getting bolded on some forms but not others?

asked on February 10, 2017 Show version history

I have an annoying visual quirk I'm trying to fix. On one of the forms in my process all of the fields stored in tables are suddenly showing up bolded and blend in with the column headers. This isn't happening when the form is open for editing, only when you are looking at a completed step in a report or from the Action History or Instance Monitoring. It also appears when a form is sent and set as read only - eg for HR to review the form (without editing it) before passing it on to the next step. What could be causing this?

It's not a HUGE deal, but it makes looking at archived forms a real eyesore. Would love to find a fix!

What version of Forms is being used? Is there any custom JavaScript/CSS being applied to the form?

Its currently in 10, but was originally built in 9.

There is some CSS on the forms in question, but there's also some on the forms that don't exhibit that behavior. As far as I know it should be identical just with some I'd tag numbers changed, but you're probably right that's where the problem is. I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but I'll post the code when I get a chance.

I would try removing the code and giving it a try and see if that resolves the issue. If it does and you need help figuring out what the problem is, I would then post it here and the community can help out.

Deleting the CSS didn't have any effect on this unfortunately. Making a new form and then adding the Goals table variable to it though did not replicate the behaviour, so I'm thinking it must be something to do with the import from 9 to 10. I don't know enough about how that process was done to speculate beyond that.

I'll just have to rebuild those forms from scratch for the final release to be sure that the bug is squashed. Not a huge deal, as I've learned some tricks in the process that I could use to improve them in other ways anyway.
