Question

Report out of Repository

asked on February 10, 2017

Hi,

we started a process for our Adjunct Agreements that get saved into the Repository. These agreements have metadata particular to the specific document. Is there a way to pull a "report" (preferably as csv) out of the reepository that would target:

the specific template ("Adjunct Agreements") and

a certain field (file note - "Final Agreement")

for a date range (based on an date submitted field)

it would return a field called "Pay", first name, last name, and some other info in a table based format.

The purpose of this report is to report to HR who all they have to pay and how much for a given timeframe.

Hi Lidija,

It can search for anything that you have in the repository, creation dates, metadata/template/field information, document text, etc.

When you export the search results it will include whatever is in the columns displayed within those search results. It obviously cannot include metrics that are not inside Laserfiche. For a tool that spans multiple systems you would have to custom develop something that interacted with the SQL database or Audit trail DB and the 3rd party systems. I guess it all depends on if every piece of information you need is in Laserfiche in some way or another, will depend on what you can/can't do here.

You can search for a date range however, date range isn't a field option in Laserfiche, you can only enter a static date. So that could be the tough one.

Hi Lidija,

I'm assuming you are aware that you can export search results in a CSV format?

Cheers!

@████████

Search Syntax can actually do date ranges, yay!

This information is from the "Advanced Search Syntax" White Paper.
