Question

outlook integration resources

asked on February 10, 2017

We would like to find out what we can do to improve performance with the Laserfiche Outlook add-in and get them operating more like regular add-ins.

Currently our client’s Outlook client’s on the cloud server isusing about 2-8% CPU each when the add-in is loaded and this is not the case when it is not.

Does anyone know of a more efficient mode, or method of running the outlook plug-in? They are on version 9.2.1 and I have uploaded screenshots comparing the memory used. Let me know if more information is needed Thanks!

What are they doing that causes multiple instances of Outlook.exe to run?  When I open multiple msg files from the windows or web client, only one Outlook.exe is used.

Here is their response on that,

"I believe there are multiple instances of the Outlook.exe running because this is terminal server and multiple people are logged onto it and using it at the same time. "

That makes more sense. Looking at the two images, I don't actually see any meaningful difference in CPU usage.

Ok, thanks. And just to be sure there probably is not a way to help minimize the ram usage(running the plugin in some kind of reduced mode, maybe by modifying the registry, etc.) correct?
