Question

Unable to connect to LFDS for SSO in FormsConfig

asked on February 8, 2017

I'm having trouble configuring Forms 10.2 when setting up a second server in our customer's Rio system. This is intended to be a "development" type system, so I'm installing everything on the one server, i.e. Server, Workflow, Web Access, Forms. The only piece that is giving me trouble is far as I can tell is Forms. When I attempt to configure authentication, I receive the following error after attempting to add user groups :

There was no endpoint listening at http://localhost:5048/LicenseManager/service that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks,

Jesse

Instead of using localhost as the name, please use full qualified domain name (like abc.test.com)as the machine name when configure LFDS.

LFDS is configured with the FQDN, which is why I do not understand how Forms is reading it as localhost. They are not on the same machine, so it seems like Forms is attempting to find LFDS at its own localhost address, but I admit I do not understand well enough how all the pieces connect to be able to say for sure what exactly is going on.

Hi Tommy, did you run into this issue as well? Can you open a support case with your Forms configuration files?
