Question

Event Viewer on Laserfiche Server showing "There was a SQL error."

asked on February 7, 2017

Hello,

I have noticed that after a users upgraded their LF database and migrated it to a server with SQL 2014, they are seeing multiple instances of the error "There was a SQL error." with the source being lflicmgr in the Event Viewer on the LF Server. There is no additional details to the error that I can see. We have looked on the SQL Server as well and did not see anything in Event Viewer or in the SQL Error logs. Does anyone know why this error might start occuring frequently?

Thanks!

The article states that when using the License Manager with Active Directory Group Synchronization, then that error will be recorded in the event log when ADGS runs and doesn't detect a change to any configured Windows groups, so it doesn't need to do anything.

Essentially, you can safely ignore that error.

Please see KB 1013493 for a possible cause of the error being logged in the event viewer.
