Question

Migrate files and metadata from Omnidocs to Laserfiche

asked on February 5, 2017

Hi

We are currently planning migration of files and metadata from Omnidocs to Laserfiche.

The client has laserfiche Rio 10.1

Please elaborate on

1. A best way to automate the migration with minimal downtime and rapid upload.

2. Objects required from Omnidocs for the migration

3. Any API required from Omnidocs. Is laserfiche SDK able to import directly from Omnidocs via an API or shall we consider a staging area where the files and metadata shall reside on a network share?

Sweety

The client is a bank and want to migrate 25 million files in 10 days. We are using import agent to import the files from a network share. But how can we ensure that the metadata come along?

I know that Import agent agent can import metadata from xml files, then how do we create the XML files per file?

The solution should be fully automated..

Their website says they have a CMIS interface, which should allow you to pull the data and the metadata out.

Hi Brian,

If i've well understood we will have to use CMIS to pull the data from Omnidocs to Laserfiche directly to laserfiche?
