alert to number new entries added to folder

To manager our business process better, we would like know when number new entry per time period for a folder have reach a threshold. An alert would be sent to our manager so we can assign more resources to the processing of the documents in the folders.

yes it is something feasable by creating a workflow that will monitor that folder, means, the workflow will be triged by new document add to that folder,

the workflow can do a find entries ( for all document) and the result count can be sue as a condition to do an action like sending an email
