Where are Temporary files stored on the pc?

When you open an image in the Desktop Client or in either of the Web clients, I'm assuming a temp file gets created somewhere on the local drive. Can anyone tell me where those temp files are stored?

For the windows client, temporary files are stored in the user's temporary folder, e.g. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp. For the web clients it is handled by the browser.

In WebLink, that location is configurable in the WebLink Administrator's Utility (either in the "Default Settings" node or for specific virtual directories - virtual directory "WebLink" is shown here):
