Is it possible to change the default setting for opening pdfs to open as an electronic file?

The sequence of doc viewer display on App is image\edoc\text view, means if your pdf has Laserfiche page generated, it will open in image view first and currently there is no user settings to change the sequence. Also, just curious what's the use case for preferably viewing in edoc view directly?

We have a user who mainly uses there ipad to view there documents and for some reason when its viewed through the viewer certain tables come up blank. If the user opens as an electronic file then it shows the data still in the tables. This only happens in pdfs.
Could you please elaborate more about the issue, preferably with a screenshot? Do you mean within the same document, some image pages show blank, but show fine when switching to edoc view? Also what type of PDFs are these? are they regular PDFs, or dynamic, etc.?
