Question

Question

The specified index is out of range for this collection.

asked on January 31, 2017

My client is receiving these errors when trying to append a newly scanned page to a document(by opening the document, clicking on the scanning button, and scanning in new pages that way). They receive the error "The specified index is out of range for this collection.".

They have scanned in the individual pages, and added them by dragging them into the document icon and that seems to work, so scanning and appending as separate steps seem to be fine. They have rebooted the computer and repaired LF, but the issue is still there. They have made sure they have the correct permissions(proven by the fact they can do the tasks separately), and it seems to be happening to multiple users on different computers. It is happening in basic and standard modes.

I have uploaded a screenshot of the error and an error log from ProgramData\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Scanning\Errors. They are on 10.2 currently, but tested 9.2.1 and did not receive the error in that version. Has anyone else gotten this error before? Thanks!

This is a known issue in 10.2 where LF Scanning reports this issue if the document has independent fields. A hotfix is going to be published shortly (bug reference 154007).

Hi Ricardo,

Are you using Anti virus software? I've had issues in the past where certain AV products can do very strange things to scanning software. Try disabling the AV software and see if that helps smiley

The hotfix for Laserfiche Scanning 10.2 can be found here.

Hi - I know this is quite old, but we're currently still on 10.2 and have a user experiencing this issue. When we go to the KB article with the hotfix, the link to the download no longer works - is there any way we can obtain it elsewhere?

Thx!
