I was wondering if "Windows Internet Name Service" is a required service to run laserfiche or not.

Hi Brandon, that is not a prerequisite for Laserfiche. The Windows Internet Name Service maps computer names to IP addresses and runs on a single server, not on every machine in the network. you can read more about the service here.
