Question

weblink timeout error

asked on January 27, 2017 Show version history

My client is getting an error occasionally on the desktop version, and frequently on the mobile version. They will get a page that says

"The system has encountered an error and could not complete your request.

If the problem persists, please contact the site administrator."

And it seems to be only happening to shortcuts.

The link they receive is different from the normal one if it had loaded correctly:

VS

We have checked the event viewer but see no web link errors whatsoever.

This happens randomly and mainly with their mobile users.

They are currently on version 9.0.1.275 and I have uploaded what the error looks like.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

Hello Ricardo,
I am getting the same message:

"The system has encountered an error and could not complete your request.

If the problem persists, please contact the site administrator."

when attempting to access documents (via Weblink) using an Android.  If I go to the Desktop site (for our website) even while the error message is displayed on the Android, as the desktop site loads, the error message goes away and it brings up the document I was attempting to look at.

Wanted to see if there were any new developments for this issue.

Thanks,

Christine
