Connect from Forms DMZ to Internal SQL Server using Active Directory

asked on January 26, 2017

Hi guys

I'm having an issue with our Forms DMZ installation, the Firewall ports are open, but our SQL Server use Active Directory Accounts for login, and I'm not able to pass the Active Directory Credentials from the Laserfiche Forms Configuration Page.

Is there any like the reverse proxy for connecting the SQL Server?, also I tried windows credential option from the control panel but still not working.

Any ideas of what can use to connect to the SQL Server from the DMZ machine?

Regards

Is there a reason why SQL authentication cannot be used in this setup and you need Windows authentication?

No , we can use SQL authentication, the only thing, is the response time from the DBA since we currently don't have any SQL User that accomplish the rule.  and I thought that maybe there's a faster way to accomplish that connection without having to wait for the SQL authentication.

You would need your active directory to be extended into the DMZ for Windows authentication to work. While some people have done that, it is generally considered a security risk.
